Greenly carbon accounting software
Greenly sells a suite of climate software — GHG assessment, life-cycle assessment, ESG management, CSRD reporting and an EU CBAM module — built around an AI assistant it calls EcoPilot (greenly.earth).
In September 2026 Greenly and Normative announced that they are merging.
This page sets Greenly’s description of itself beside SECR, UK SRS S2 and the UK’s own CBAM; we have not tested the product and give it no rating.
Fictional demonstration request
When can supplier data replace a spend estimate?
Ask Greenly to demonstrate a single-period category 1 record that replaces a fictional 20 tCO₂e spend estimate with 12 tCO₂e of comparable supplier data.
| Control | Expected record | Why it matters |
|---|---|---|
| Match the basis | The same supplier, goods, period and inventory boundary. | A different population cannot silently replace the original estimate. |
| Replace rather than add | Retain the20t estimate in the history; count only the12t replacement in this fixture. | Counting both would produce32t and duplicate the same activity. |
| Explain the change | An8t difference caused by a revised measurement input. | A lower estimate alone does not demonstrate an8t operational reduction. |
| Retain the evidence | The supplier source, review and method-change note. | A reviewer can reconstruct which figure entered the final output. |

Greenly calls itself climate intelligence for better decisions: measure, report and reduce emissions on one audit-ready platform.
Its product list covers GHG assessment, life-cycle assessment for products, ESG management, CSRD reporting and CBAM compliance, with a sustainable-procurement module for supplier data.
EcoPilot, its AI assistant, is described as answering climate questions, handling repetitive tasks and, in the procurement module, searching public SBTi, CDP and corporate reports for supplier data before any questionnaire is sent.
Its CSRD page describes double materiality scoring, ESRS data collection, xHTML output with XBRL tagging, EU Taxonomy exports and auditor access.
Its CBAM page describes supplier questionnaires, automated follow-ups and quarterly XML reports for upload to the EU portal.
The merger with Normative, announced in September 2026, is promoted on Greenly’s UK home page.
These are Greenly’s statements about itself.

Greenly’s pages address companies of many sizes and sectors, from first-time reporters — its CBAM page says no expertise is needed — to multi-entity groups consolidating subsidiaries across countries.
It sells through a partner programme as well as directly, and its pricing page lists sector solutions for manufacturing, technology and finance.
For a UK buyer the notable feature is how much of the suite is aimed at EU duties: CSRD, VSME and the EU CBAM.
That fits a UK group with EU subsidiaries or EU customers; a company whose only duties are UK ones should check the UK outputs first, starting with the fork on carbon management software.

Greenly’s pricing page shows how its plans differ on method: the entry “GHG Report Compliance” plan measures Scope 1 and 2 on physical data and Scope 3 on financial (spend) data, and higher plans add physical analysis of Scope 3.
Its pricing FAQ says monetary data is converted to CO2 with the French ADEME emission factors, with physical data added for high-emitting items.
For a UK report the expected factor set is the DESNZ conversion factors, for the year in which the activity mostly fell; ask which set the platform applies to UK electricity, gas and fuel.
UK SRS S2 requires gross Scope 1, 2 and 3 under the GHG Protocol Corporate Standard, location-based Scope 2, and all fifteen Scope 3 categories considered with the included ones disclosed (¶29(a); ¶¶B30–B33).
Spend-based Scope 3 is a legitimate method; the disclosure should say which categories rest on it.
Greenly’s procurement module describes replacing spend estimates with supplier data as it arrives; ask to see the method recorded against each category as it changes.
Scope 3 in UK terms is on Scope 3 under UK SRS.

| Regime | What the rule requires | What Greenly says | Ask to see |
|---|---|---|---|
| SECR | kWh, statutory emissions limbs, an intensity ratio, methodology and comparatives (Sch 7) | SECR is not named on the English pages read; the entry plan is called “GHG Report Compliance” | A Schedule 7 section for a UK entity, with DESNZ factors rather than ADEME ones |
| UK SRS S2 | Gross Scopes 1–3; location-based Scope 2; the Scope 3 category record (¶29(a); ¶¶B30–B33) | Scope 1 and 2 physical and Scope 3 financial in the entry plan; physical Scope 3 in higher plans (pricing page); ISSB named on the CSRD page | Which Scope 3 categories rest on spend data, and the location-based Scope 2 default |

| CBAM | EU CBAM for EU importers; the separate UK CBAM from 1 January 2027 on five sectors (Finance Act 2026 Part 5) | Supplier questionnaires and quarterly XML reports for the EU portal (CBAM page) | Whether the module handles the UK CBAM, or the EU regime only |
| Value-chain cap | Suppliers of 1,000 employees or fewer may decline CSRD requests beyond Annex II of DR 2026/1560, from FY2027 | Automated supplier outreach and pre-filled questionnaires; an “Ask Once” policy | Whether questionnaires to protected suppliers can be capped at Annex II |
People search for how to evaluate Greenly on IFRS sustainability standards, on sustainability reporting software, on CBAM regulation, on ESG platform features, on life-cycle assessment, on SECR compliance in the UK and on CSRD compliance.
The table treats each the same way — the rule, what Greenly says, the request.
The CBAM row matters most for UK importers: the UK’s own CBAM, set by Part 5 of the Finance Act 2026, commences on 1 January 2027 on aluminium, cement, fertiliser, hydrogen, and iron and steel, and was not linked to the EU scheme as at September 2026.
The UK reference points for the other rows are the SECR guidance and the UK SRS guidance; Greenly also names CDP.

Greenly describes its reports as audit-ready, says each supplier data point is benchmarked, confidence-rated and traceable to its source, and describes giving auditors access “aligned” to ISSA 5000.
ISSA 5000 is an assurance standard that governs how an assurer performs an engagement; it does not certify software, and “aligned” is Greenly’s word.
In the UK no company must obtain sustainability assurance; listed companies in scope of the FCA rules state whether they did.
For the CSRD, the limited-assurance opinion covers the process used to identify what is reported, which is why the materiality record matters (see CSRD reporting software).
Greenly’s site also displays third-party certifications and awards; this page does not repeat them, because a vendor’s claim about a third party is best checked at the third party’s own register.

Greenly’s pricing page lists three plans — GHG, LCA and ESG — with a comparison of plan tiers and add-ons such as extra entities, API and SSO integration, and PAI reporting for funds.
It publishes no figures, and invites a demonstration or a request for a detailed rate; it notes that prices vary by sector.
This site records that as Enterprise level · TBD.
The plan comparison is useful for scoping: whether Scope 3 is spend-based or physical depends on the tier.

For Greenly, the factor-set request is the one most likely to matter to a UK filer: ask which conversion factors are applied to UK activity data, and for which year.
The builder beside this text adds the other requests for the regimes you choose, each with its provision.
The value-chain cap row applies if Greenly’s supplier module will send CSRD questionnaires; the cap is explained with a check on CSRD reporting software.
Everything above describes what Greenly publishes about itself, set beside what the rules require.

These profiles are built on the same pattern: the vendor’s own words, set against the same requirements.
Listing them is not a recommendation, and they are in no order of merit.
- Normative — the company Greenly announced a merger with in September 2026.
- Plan A — carbon accounting joined to decarbonisation planning.
- Sweep — sustainability data management that names UK SRS.
- Sami — a carbon hub and an ESG hub, with ESRS-based double materiality and VSME report support.
All seventeen are described side by side, alphabetically, on carbon management software, with the requirements every tool is measured against.
Frequently asked
Questions people ask
What is Greenly?
Greenly describes itself as a climate software suite for measuring, reporting and reducing a company’s emissions on one audit-ready platform.
Its English product list, read on 1 October 2026, includes GHG assessment, life-cycle assessment, ESG management, CSRD reporting and EU CBAM compliance, with an AI assistant it calls EcoPilot.
Is Greenly merging with Normative?
Yes, by the companies’ own announcement.
Greenly and Normative announced in September 2026 that they are merging; Greenly’s UK home page now carries the announcement, and the companies say the group will support 4,000 customers across more than 30 countries.
Does Greenly support SECR compliance in the UK?
SECR is not named on the English Greenly pages read for this profile.
Greenly names the French ADEME emission factors for its spend conversions; a UK SECR report would expect the DESNZ conversion factors.
Ask to see a Schedule 7 section built from UK data with DESNZ factors.
Does Greenly support the IFRS sustainability standards?
Greenly’s CSRD page says data can be aligned with global standards including CDP and ISSB.
UK SRS is not named.
UK SRS S2 is IFRS S2 with UK amendments, so ask to see UK SRS output specifically, with location-based Scope 2 as the default.
Does Greenly handle CBAM?
Greenly describes a CBAM module with supplier questionnaires and quarterly XML reports for the EU portal.
The UK has its own CBAM, which commences on 1 January 2027 on aluminium, cement, fertiliser, hydrogen, and iron and steel, and was not linked to the EU scheme as at September 2026.
Ask which regime the module serves.
Is Greenly an ESG platform or carbon accounting software?
By its own description, both: it sells a GHG assessment module and a separate ESG management module, alongside life-cycle assessment and CSRD reporting. Which you need depends on the regimes you report under.
Does Greenly do life-cycle assessment?
Greenly says it delivers ISO-aligned life-cycle assessment for products, sold as a separate LCA plan.
Product footprints are a different exercise from the corporate inventory that SECR and UK SRS S2 ask for.
How much does Greenly cost?
Greenly’s pricing page lists GHG, LCA and ESG plans and add-ons but publishes no figures; it invites a demonstration or a detailed rate request. This site records that as Enterprise level · TBD.
Has this site tested Greenly?
No. This page describes what Greenly publishes about itself and sets it beside what the rules require. It gives no rating.
