Fictional review trace
How should an AI draft become an authorised disclosure?
Ask Sweep to demonstrate what happens when a fictional draft calls an estimated supplier figure verified.
| Stage | Fictional evidence | Review decision |
|---|---|---|
| Source input | A spend estimate with a stated method and period; no independent verification record. | Keep its estimate status attached to the figure. |
| Generated sentence | The draft describes the figure as verified. | Reject that unsupported adjective rather than treating generated wording as evidence. |
| Correction | The reviewer describes the figure as estimated and links the calculation basis. | Retain the change, reviewer and version sent for approval. |
| Final disclosure | The approved sentence and its source remain connected. | Ask for a reproducible export; this page has not tested whether the product passes. |

Sweep sells carbon and ESG data software whose central claim is that data uploaded once can be used across every reporting framework (sweep.net).
It is one of the few vendors whose own pages name UK SRS, which makes the UK tests on this page directly relevant.
We have not tested Sweep and give it no rating.
Sweep describes itself as software that turns sustainability data into measurable business performance.
Its UK home page lists what it says the product helps with: staying compliant by uploading data once and using it across all frameworks, cutting operating costs, reducing supply-chain risk and building credibility with transparent ESG reporting.
Its reporting page is more specific: sustainability data, materiality assessment and disclosure in one workspace, mapped to CSRD, ISSB, GRI, CDP, SASB, TCFD, California SB 253 and SB 261, and UK SRS.
It describes connectors to ERP, HR, energy, procurement and travel systems; supplier portals for value-chain and Scope 3 data; and version control on every figure and narrative.
For assurance it describes an audit trail from raw input to filed disclosure and an interface that gives auditors direct access.
A separate financed-emissions module is aimed at banks, lenders and investors.
These are Sweep’s statements about its own product.

Sweep’s reporting page is written for large businesses that report to several frameworks at once, and quotes customers ranging from a director of sustainable development to a one-person compliance team at a company with over 30 US sites.
Its financed-emissions page is written for asset managers, lenders and investors, whose portfolios it says can account for almost all of their emissions.
Its UK site carries a report on the state of UK business sustainability, which signals a UK audience.
For a UK company the relevant question is which of the frameworks Sweep names actually bind you: SECR and ESOS for most large companies, UK SRS for listed ones, the CSRD only where an EU entity is in scope.
The fork is set out on carbon management software.

Sweep describes centralising carbon data across entities, sites and suppliers, and collecting supplier data in real time for Scope 3.
The UK SRS S2 tests are the same for every tool: gross Scope 1, 2 and 3 under the GHG Protocol Corporate Standard; location-based Scope 2 as the required figure; all fifteen Scope 3 categories considered and the included ones disclosed (¶29(a); ¶¶B30–B33).
Because Sweep also names the ESRS, a UK group reporting under both regimes will want both Scope 2 figures from the same data: the revised ESRS E1 requires market-based as well, UK SRS S2 does not.
For a financial institution, UK SRS S2 ¶29A allows Scope 3 category 15 to be limited to financed emissions, which is where Sweep’s PCAF-aligned module would sit.
PCAF’s standard is now in its third edition for Part A (2025); a module built on an earlier edition would need updating.
People searching for a Scope 1, 2 and 3 emissions calculator should note that a calculation is the start: UK SRS S2 needs the category record and the method behind each figure, explained on Scope 3 under UK SRS.

| Regime | What the rule requires | What Sweep says | Ask to see |
|---|---|---|---|
| SECR | kWh, the statutory emissions limbs, an emissions intensity ratio, methodology and comparatives (Sch 7) | SECR is not named on the pages read; Sweep publishes a UK site and a UK business sustainability report | A directors’ report SECR section built from UK entity data, limb by limb |
| UK SRS | UK SRS S2: gross Scopes 1–3, location-based Scope 2, the Scope 3 category record (¶29(a); ¶¶B30–B33) | Names UK SRS among the frameworks a single dataset maps to, “with pre-built mappings and contextual guidance” (reporting page) | A UK SRS S2 disclosure — not an IFRS S2 one relabelled — with the UK amendments reflected |
| FCA listing rules | Comply or explain; relief statements; location, assurance and transition-plan statements (PS26/19) | The FCA rules are not named on the pages read | A gap register exporting the three-part explanation, and a Scope 3 relief statement |
| IFRS S1 and S2 | The ISSB standards UK SRS adopts with amendments (IFRS navigator) | Names ISSB among its frameworks | Which differences between IFRS S2 and UK SRS S2 the mapping handles |
| CSRD / ESRS | FY2026 version statement; ¶24 omission of immaterial datapoints; limited assurance only (DR 2026/1563; Omnibus I) | Materiality, data and disclosure in one workspace; “limited assurance under CSRD, reasonable assurance when it phases in” (reporting page) | The ESRS version field; and how the product treats assurance now that reasonable assurance has been removed from the law |
| Financed emissions | Scope 3 category 15; UK SRS S2 ¶29A lets it be limited to financed emissions; PCAF is the industry standard (PCAF) | “Aligned with PCAF methodology and GHG Protocol for financed emissions reporting” (financed-emissions page) | Which PCAF edition, and the data-quality score for each asset class |
People search for how to evaluate Sweep on ESG platform features, on carbon accounting, on sustainability reporting software, on SECR compliance in the UK, on IFRS standards, on CSRD compliance and on CBAM.
The table treats each the same way — the rule, what Sweep says, the request — and CBAM, the EU carbon border mechanism, is not named on the pages read.
UK SRS is available for voluntary use by any UK entity (DBT guidance), and the SECR guidance is the government’s own account of what a directors’ report must contain.
The EU regime is described on the Commission’s CSRD page; for UK readers the scope question comes first, on CSRD reporting software.

Sweep says every figure traces back to its source, with methodology and version history captured automatically, and that auditors can be given direct access.
Its reporting page also says Sweep supports “limited assurance under CSRD, reasonable assurance when it phases in”.
The law on that point changed in 2026: Omnibus I removed the empowerment to adopt reasonable-assurance standards, and CSRD assurance is a limited assurance engagement (Directive (EU) 2026/470, recital (5), Art 1(3)).
The final FCA UK SRS rules do not impose a general requirement to obtain third-party assurance; listed companies in scope state whether they obtained it.
One third-party view can be checked at its owner’s page: Verdantix’s 2026 Green Quadrant press release names Sweep among eight firms in its leading group — Verdantix’s assessment, not ours.
Sweep also names CDP among its frameworks; CDP’s own disclosure platform is where those responses go.

The builder beside this text lists them with their provisions; mark each as shown on your data, described only, or not yet asked.
The rules behind those requests are on UK SRS compliance.

Frequently asked
Questions people ask
What is Sweep?
Sweep describes itself as software that turns sustainability data into business performance.
On its reporting page, read on 1 October 2026, it says a single dataset maps to CSRD, ISSB, GRI, CDP, SASB, TCFD, California SB 253 and SB 261, and UK SRS, with supplier portals, version history and an auditor access interface.
Does Sweep support SECR compliance in the UK?
SECR is not named on the Sweep pages read for this profile, though Sweep runs a UK site.
Whether Sweep produces a Schedule 7 section for a UK directors’ report is something to have demonstrated: the kWh total, each statutory emissions limb, an intensity ratio, the methodology statement and comparatives.
Does Sweep support UK SRS and the IFRS sustainability standards?
Sweep names both UK SRS and ISSB among the frameworks its data maps to.
UK SRS S2 is IFRS S2 with amendments the government has listed, and listed companies in scope of the FCA’s rules report against it on a comply-or-explain basis from 2027, so ask to see UK SRS output specifically.
Is Sweep an ESG platform or a carbon accounting platform?
By its own description, both: it centralises ESG and carbon data across entities, sites and suppliers, and reports it against sustainability frameworks.
The distinction matters less than whether the specific outputs your regimes require can be shown on your data.
Does Sweep support CSRD compliance?
Sweep says it brings materiality assessment, data and disclosure into one workspace mapped to the CSRD.
Its page also refers to reasonable assurance phasing in; Omnibus I removed that empowerment in 2026, so CSRD assurance is limited assurance.
Ask how the product reflects that, and to see the field recording the ESRS version for a 2026 financial year.
Does Sweep calculate financed emissions?
Sweep says its financed-emissions module is aligned with the PCAF methodology and the GHG Protocol and supports CSRD, SFDR and EDCI reporting.
PCAF’s Part A is now in its third edition (2025), so ask which edition the module follows.
How much does Sweep cost?
Sweep does not publish a price on its website; its pricing address leads to a demonstration request. This site records that as Enterprise level · TBD.
Has this site tested Sweep?
No. This page describes what Sweep publishes about itself and sets it beside what the rules require. It gives no rating.
