Salesforce carbon accounting software
Salesforce Net Zero Cloud is ESG and carbon management software built on the Salesforce CRM platform (salesforce.com).
Salesforce publishes a UK price for it — £168,000 a year for the Growth edition — which this page states as published.
We have not tested Net Zero Cloud and give it no rating.
Fictional demonstration request
Does a supplier record complete every Scope 3 category?
A fictional buyer imports a supplier record for purchased goods, but still needs a category-by-category inventory review.
| Record or question | Demonstration request | Limit |
|---|---|---|
| Purchased goods | Show the period, activity boundary, method and source behind the category 1 amount. | A corporate supplier footprint is not automatically the buyer’s purchased-goods amount. |
| Missing categories | Show the record of considering all 15 categories and identifying the included ones. | An automated purchase-data import is not evidence that every relevant category was reviewed. |
| Edition coverage | Identify which requested calculation is included, requires a separate input or is not named in the quoted edition. | The category map above records Salesforce’s published distinctions, not tested completeness. |
| Report output | Trace the included amount and method note to the final disclosure. | A generated narrative still needs human review against its evidence. |

Salesforce calls Net Zero Cloud “sustainability software built on the world’s #1 AI CRM” — its own description.
The product page lists carbon conversion, which turns utility, travel and fleet data into emissions under the GHG Protocol, and emissions factor datasets bought through its Net Zero Marketplace.
It describes a Scope 3 hub for supplier, subsidiary and value-chain data, and what-if forecasting with programme analysis by emissions saved and marginal abatement cost.
For reporting, it lists a Disclosure and Compliance Hub with framework-specific report builders for CSRD, SASB, GRI and CDP, and a Microsoft Word plug-in.
Its Agentforce assistant drafts report answers from the data and, Salesforce says, flags what is missing from each answer.
The UK pricing page adds carbon credit management, energy attribute certificate management, materiality assessment, building energy intensity and data access with an audit trail to the Growth edition.
These are Salesforce’s statements about its own product.

Salesforce’s FAQ says Net Zero Cloud “is for all enterprises”, at every stage of their sustainability journey.
Its distinctive pitch is the platform: sustainability data layered on top of financial, supply-chain and customer data already held in Salesforce.
That is the substance behind searches asking whether Net Zero Cloud integrates with CRM data to measure customer carbon footprint impact.
Salesforce’s answer is that its products integrate with outside systems directly, through MuleSoft licences, integration partners or AgentExchange apps.
For a UK reader the first question is which regimes bind you, set out on carbon management software; whether SECR applies at all is tested on SECR thresholds.

Salesforce says Net Zero Cloud spans Scope 1, 2 and 3, plus supplier engagement, waste and water.
Its pricing FAQ is more exact about Scope 3: Scope 3 Light covers business travel (category 6) and freight (categories 4 and 9).
The Growth plan adds waste (categories 5 and 12) and the Scope 3 Hub, which calculates purchased goods and services (category 1) and other spend-based categories from spend data.
UK SRS S2 asks for every one of the fifteen categories to be considered and the included ones disclosed (¶¶B32–B33), numbered as in the GHG Protocol Scope 3 Standard.
It also requires location-based Scope 2 and gross figures (¶29(a)), measured under the GHG Protocol Corporate Standard.
Spend-based calculation is one recognised method among several, so ask how the hub records which method produced each category, and how a supplier’s own figure replaces a spend estimate.
The categories are explained on Scope 3 emissions and the UK rule on UK SRS S2.

Searches ask what Salesforce’s carbon tracking covers, and its own pricing FAQ gives the most precise answer available.
Scope 3 Light names three categories: upstream transport and distribution, business travel, and downstream transport and distribution.
Growth names three more — waste in operations, end-of-life of sold products, and purchased goods and services from spend — and an unnamed set of other spend-based categories.
The map beside this text takes the categories you expect to include and shows which edition Salesforce’s own words place them in.
Anything Salesforce does not name is shown as not named, which is a question for the demonstration, not a finding.
The duty to consider all fifteen comes from UK SRS S2 ¶B32, whichever edition you buy.

Searches reach this page for carbon management software, net zero reporting software, SECR reporting software and Salesforce’s carbon accounting.
The table treats each the same way: the rule, Salesforce’s words, and the request that tests one against the other.
The government’s SECR guidance sets out what a UK directors’ report must contain, and SECR is not among the report builders Salesforce names.
UK SRS is available for voluntary use by any UK entity (DBT guidance), and listed companies in scope of the FCA rules report against it on a comply-or-explain basis for accounting periods beginning on or after 1 January 2027.
Salesforce names SASB (IFRS navigator) and CDP (CDP); the CSRD side is set out on CSRD reporting software.

Salesforce lists “data access and audit trail” among the Growth edition’s features.
In the UK no company is required to obtain sustainability assurance.
Listed companies in scope of the FCA rules state whether they obtained it and, if so, the provider, the disclosures covered and the standard used.
Two features deserve a specific assurance question: carbon credits and energy attribute certificates.
UK SRS S2 reports emissions gross (¶29(a)(i)), so credits must sit in a ledger that never reduces the inventory, and certificates affect only the market-based Scope 2 figure, which is permitted but not required (¶¶B30–B31).
Salesforce also lists science-based target setting; SBTi’s own standards and guidance say targets set in 2026 use Corporate Net-Zero Standard Version 1.3.1, with Version 2.0 validation from early 2027.
What a listed company must say about assurance is on UK SRS assurance.

Salesforce’s UK pricing page, read on 1 October 2026, lists Net Zero Cloud Growth at £168,000 GBP per org per year, billed annually, including one full CRM licence.
The same page gives the price in other currencies, including US$210,000 and €210,000.
Add-ons are priced separately on the add-ons page, in US dollars — for example External Engagement Management at US$60,000 per org per year and Multi-Organization Support at US$24,000.
Salesforce says generative AI features need an Einstein SKU as well, that contracts are annual, and that integration with systems outside Salesforce may need MuleSoft licences or partners.
Prices are Salesforce’s and can change; check the live page before relying on them.
A quote should list the edition, each add-on, any Einstein or MuleSoft licences and implementation as separate lines.

Frequently asked
Questions people ask
What is Salesforce Net Zero Cloud?
Salesforce describes Net Zero Cloud as sustainability software built on its CRM platform, pulling an organisation’s sustainability data into one place.
It lists carbon conversion of energy, travel and fleet data under the GHG Protocol, a Scope 3 hub, what-if forecasting, report builders for CSRD, SASB, GRI and CDP, and drafting by its Agentforce assistant.
How much does Salesforce Net Zero Cloud cost in the UK?
Salesforce’s UK pricing page, read on 1 October 2026, lists Net Zero Cloud Growth at £168,000 GBP per org per year, billed annually, including one full CRM licence.
Add-ons are priced separately, in US dollars, on Salesforce’s add-ons page, and contracts are annual.
Does Salesforce Net Zero Cloud integrate with CRM data to measure customer carbon footprint impact?
Salesforce says Net Zero Cloud is built on the Salesforce platform, so sustainability data can sit alongside financial, supply-chain and other data in the same ecosystem, and that MuleSoft or partner apps connect other systems.
Whether a specific customer-footprint metric can be produced from your CRM data is something to have demonstrated.
Which Scope 3 categories does Net Zero Cloud calculate?
Salesforce’s pricing FAQ says Scope 3 Light covers business travel (category 6) and freight (categories 4 and 9), and that the Growth plan adds waste (categories 5 and 12) and the Scope 3 Hub, which calculates purchased goods and services (category 1) and other spend-based categories from spend.
UK SRS S2 requires all fifteen categories to be considered.
How does Salesforce Net Zero Cloud compare with SAP Sustainability Cloud?
This site does not rank or compare vendors, and SAP is not profiled here.
The useful comparison is the same request put to both: an SECR section, location-based Scope 2, a Scope 3 inclusion record and the UK SRS S2 outputs, each shown on your own data.
Does Net Zero Cloud support SECR and UK SRS?
Neither is named on the Salesforce pages read.
Both are statements a UK company makes from its own data, so ask to see the SECR section and the UK SRS S2 disclosure produced in the product.
Can carbon credits reduce reported emissions in Net Zero Cloud?
Salesforce lists carbon credit and renewable energy certificate management.
Under UK SRS S2 ¶29(a)(i) emissions are reported gross, so credits are never netted off the inventory; certificates bear on the market-based Scope 2 figure, which UK SRS S2 permits but does not require.
Has this site tested Salesforce Net Zero Cloud?
No. This page describes what Salesforce publishes and sets it beside what the rules require. It gives no rating.
